It all began with Nurse Jacqueline Côté, a matriarch and source of inspiration, who served as coordinator at the Marcel-Ferron center. A passionate and dedicated woman, she devoted her career to improving the quality of care and supporting her team.

Aware of the critical needs in the healthcare field, she inspired her daughter, Chantal Côté, to pursue nursing as well.

The Beginning

In 1992, Chantal Côté, now a nurse, was working in a healthcare facility. She faced unfilled shifts, demanding conditions, and limited recognition for healthcare professionals. Confronted with these realities, she began to nurture an idea: she believed it was possible to do better, to provide services that met the needs of both caregivers and healthcare institutions.

One day, her manager challenged her with words that would change everything:
“If you think you can do better, then do it. And if you do, I’ll be your first client.”

Motivated by these words and driven by her ambition, Chantal decided to take up the challenge. She founded Asicc-Med, a nursing placement agency that quickly became a key player in the field. True to her word, that manager became the company’s first client.
